    COMBAT VET RIDERS General meeting agenda

    September 4TH, 2024

    Call to order: 1832

    Members/auxiliary & guests: 46

    Officers present: President; Jeremiah, Sargent at arms; Jams, Secretary; Dawg, Treasure; Elvis and Bug, Advocates; just Rob, Digger and Steveo.

    Pledge, Moment of silence: SA.

    President’s report:

    Bull Lake report. Went very well, they asked us back and are considering another event in July.

    Request to escort a Marine to his final resting place. Details TBD.

    March for the Fallen.

    The Vet Center needs help loading tables, 1000 Sept 9TH,

    Sept 13TH, 0900 setup on location.

    Sept. 14 Meet at Valley Real Life Riverside Church 0800, KSU 0830.

    Security detail for Spokane Ren Faire: Need 18 people per shift, 2 shifts per day. Saturday and Sunday October 5TH and 6TH 0800-1300 and 1200-1700 both days. Volunteers need to fill out an application online. Please fill out the app online. At (https://www.eventeny.com/events/volunteer/application/?id=6076). There will be a training meeting on September 15TH at the faire site. We need at least 36 people to sign up for this event. They are making a donation to the club.

    JD has retired.

    Sargent at arms report:

    Nothing currently.

    Secretary’s report:

    Reminder the roll call sheets are it the cubby with our membership applications by the roll up door.

    I have the revised by – Laws ready. I included a by – Laws agreement form that needs to be read, initialed, signed and witnessed by every member.

    Hence forth, Prospects must have a DD-214 turned in with their application before they can proceed. Proof of service is required.

    Treasurer’s report:

    Need people to get caught up on their dues.

    Bug:

    Advocates report:

    Just Rob:

    Digger: Use your Advocates.

    Steveo: Use your Advocates. It might take a little time to resolve, however they will get things taken care of for you.

    Resource report:

    BBW: Doing really good, we helped 6 Vets last month.

    Ride & event committee:

    Gnomie: There is a 9-11 ride. Sept. 11, OC 0830 KSU 0845. This ride ends in Kennewick. (Tri Cities).

    Scout: Sept. 21ST POW/MIA All members OC 0730. Group photo 0800. Members can register after the photo is taken. Public registration starts at 0900. Baskets need to be at the OC the week of the ride Wednesday, Thursday no later than 1800 Friday.

    Sept 8TH pre ride for Road Captains and Medics Only. OC 0900, KSU 0930.

    Sept. 15TH Pre-Ride OC 0900 KSU 0930. Open to all members.

    Scout has the raffle tickets for the gas tank, get some and sell as many as you can.

    Outreach center report:

    Fallout:

    We have several broken tables. Need to replace or fix them.

    Don’t stand at the door holding it open. It lets the air out and our bill are high enough.

    Store report:

    Kare Bear: The store is having a blowout sale. 2 for $5.00.

    Need people for March for the fallen store setup.

    Auxiliary report:

    Tink:

    Food for POW/MIA needs to be at the OC the day before or early in the morning, no later than 0800.

    Sept. 12TH fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse. Go have a great dinner.

    Ongoing fundraiser See’s candy bye some today.

    Chaplin’s report:

    New business:

    Tuner is on a leave of absence.

    The fundraiser at Bi mart in Deer Park did really good. Hansel put an ad in the Deer Park Tribune thanking the community and Bi Mart. We should think about doing this forward.

    The Junk Yard BB-Q is sponsoring the Snowflake Memories this year 65 kids get a 2-hour flight around the area then land and go to a hanger made up to look like the North Pole. They need help with building the set. Contact Sweed.

    Sept. 19 Sweed’s band Gin, Smoke and Lies are playing at the Junkyard for Thunder Thursday.
