General meeting minutes

December 04, 2024

Call to order: 1833 Members/auxiliary & guests: 44

Officers present: President; Jeremiah, Vice President; Ginger, Sargent at arms; Jamz, Secretary; Dawg, Treasure; Elvis and Bug, Advocates; Just Rob, Digger and Steveo.

Pledge, Moment of silence: SA.

Scout: Seasonal depression, the holidays are especially hard for people. Check on your loved ones, Brothers and Sisters. If you need to talk, you can call Scout at (208) 409-6670.

Panhead: Panhead worked with the VA and helped develop a new flyer concerning prostate cancer. You are encouraged to get tested, (it is a simple blood test). It is not an age thing anymore, people as young as 40 have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Ask your primary doctor to order the blood test. “They don’t do the test automatically.”

Support the Fallen Heros project.

President’s report:

E board approved Gnomie and Hansel splitting the ride and event committee. Gnomie will handle the rides, and Hansel will handle the Events.

Spider is going to be working with Bug on club accounting and taxes.

Rocky rolled up.

12/08/2024 1600-1900 Fallen Heros project Christmas party. VFW 1435, 212 S. David. White Elephant gift exchange. Gifts should not exceed $40.00.

Vice president’s report:

12/14/24 0900. Men’s Christmas party. “To avoid a lot of vehicles in Mc Cracken’s parking lot.” The school bus will leave the O.C. at 0830. Meet at Mc Cracken on Sprague at 0900.

Sargent at arms report:

Patch Committee: meeting. 12/11/2024 @ 1830. At the O.C.

Secretary’s report:

Nominations. VP. Sweed & Scout.

Advocate. Hansel, Skite, Gnomie & Conda.

Elvis: Is taking over the Bike show for us. The booth has been paid for. March 14,15, &16,2025. We need volunteers.

Steveo: Nothing currently.

Resource report:

BBW: We are continuing to do great work.

Gnomie:

8/26/2025 Traveling wall that heals, we will be doing the escort in and out again, I encourage all that can to be part of this heartwarming event. Fallen Heros project paid for the wall for 2025.

POW/MIA, 9/20/2025, our POW/MIA 20TH Anniversary.

Hansel:

If you know of or want to make a suggestion, Gnomie and Hansel have put their contact information on the lower board upper right corner.

Ronda Vue at Halfway House, 8/8,9 &10/2025.

Bike show: 3/14,15 &16/2025. Times TBD.

Known Associates need to make their monthly donations to the O.C. Manager (i.e. canteen)

OC. Rental prices are going up effective 01/01/25. Nonmembers $100.00, members$50.00.

The O.C. is rented out till the 21ST of December.

Store report:

Kare Bear: Still selling previous years POW/Mia shirts at a reduced price.

Auxiliary report:

Gemini: Chico’s Christmas party, Setup 12/13/24 1830. Game night and Fryday the 13TH

12/14/2024 1700 Chico’s Christmas party.

OC cleanup TBD.

If you have kids 17 and under coming to the Christmas party this year, please let Tink know so the Auxiliary can have a gift for them.

Santa “Bug” Clause will be handing out gifts this year.
