Kim Cole contacted me regarding a Navy Corpsman relocating and has to be out of base housing by Friday 6th. He had money for the U-haul and fuel but in the process of packing stuff up his brother helped himself to the cash needed for that. Other organizations have been contacted to help with this and the CVR will help with $200.
The vet's outreach center sent a vet to me that has had a string of troubles with people taking money from him and his disability check sent to a wrong account so he has absolutely no money for 10 days. After talking with the vet's center and him the CVR is helping him with $200 to get him through and he is willing to pay it back if he can.
An Army national guardsman fell behind on his power bill and it was shut off, he owed quite a bit to get it turned back on. The VFW helped with some and SNAP pitched in as well. The CVR contributed $200 to help get the power turned back on then the other agencies are covering the rest of the bill.
A member of the Patriot Guard Riders passed away recently and the family is needing help getting a casket for him. The CVR is helping with $200 along with other organizations chipping in.
Got the message that a vet on medical leave due to surgery was going to have his power shut off in 3 days. The CVR paid Avista $169.12 to keep it on.
